Rates - Studio Time

Skylab Recording Studios were founded in the early '90s and have remained dedicated to Florida's music scene ever since. Over the years we've had the pleasure of working with a variety of styles from country to punk to hip-hop to techno to full choirs. Our clients range from the novice to the seasoned veterans. All artists are welcome here. We offer free consultations for bands/artists who'd like to know more about the recording process, purchasing equipment, or the industry in general. Our engineers have been trained to dedicate themselves to every project that comes in. We know budgets are tight, we know how important the music is to the artists who come in, and we are prepared to do what it takes to see all of our projects through to completion. You will not find a harder working staff of engineers in Florida.

Tracking/Mixing/Mastering

The rates listed below are our standard rates. These rates are for tracking, mixing, and/or mastering. All rates include an engineer and use of all studio equipment. These rates are negotiable and will vary from month to month depending on engineers available, how much time is booked, the work needed to be done, and when it's booked. Occasionally there are gaps in the schedule where we sometimes offer discounts of 20-30% off. Slow months don't happen often, but when and if they do we send out a discount notice to everyone on our e-mail list. To be put on the list, contact us by visiting our website www.skylabstudios.com. Full Day Rates ………………………………………………… $500 for a 10 hour day

Hard Drives……………………………………………………… $120 for 40gigs (approx).
If you can find a better price, you can bring your own
hard drive in so long as it meets our specs, which are:
7200rpm ATA100 or ATA130 (10g, 20g, or 40g).

DVD Back-ups..……………………………………………….$30 (includes DVD)
Sony PCM 3324 Reels……………………………………$60 - $120 (we have new and used)
ADATs…………………………………………………………….$12.00
CD Duplicates ……………………………………………… $2.00 - 3.00 (w/labels)
